The Marrakech International Film Festival is near! It is from December 3rd to the 11th at the city’s famous central square, Place Djemaa el-Fna. The international film festival of Marrakech is a festival held annually in Marrakech Morocco for the past ten years. The festival is dedicated to revealing new talents by presenting feature films that give publicity to international cinema via a general production of new films. It is one of the biggest events in Marrakech; over five thousand people attend each year and enjoy the foreign productions of feature films and short films.

Every edition we choose a spotlight. This edition is dedicated to The Djemaa el-Fna ("assembly place of the nobodies") a highlight of Marrakech, Morocco. Djemaa el- Fna is a marketplace where many locals go to complete their shopping agendas during the day. There is quite a transformation from day to night at Djemaa el-Fna. In the morning and throughout the afternoon it is a place with stalls that sell freshly-squeezed orange juice, and once the sun goes down the festivity begins with a variety of entertainment options such as: story/fortune tellers, music, dancers, jugglers, snake charmers, magicians, and henna tattoo artists. Also, around the border of the square there are delicious rooftop cafes and restaurants with balconies that allow you to watch the sight to keep your interest.
This well-known landmark is a large square where many hotels and souks are located. Djemaa el Fna is the most famous landmark in Marrakech, which has been protected by the Unesco as a master piece for years. This landmark is one of the liveliest attractions in Morocco that visitors and tourists all the time. A visit to the heart of Marrakech is a wonderful experience and recommended to all that stay in this mesmerizing city.
